  3. Thanks.

Somebody told me if I selected TTL slave sensor, I could not control the strobe in manual mode (set the power to 1/2, 1/4, 1/8). I had to buy another manual slave sensor. Is it true?

  4. Not totally sure but at least for film cameras this is not true. If you set the strobe at a manual power I believe the sensor will trigger the strobe to fire at that power. I would suggest looking at Ike's new manual controller. I much prefer it to TTL. I now use the TTL sensor only in tandem (on a second strobe) with the manual controller now.

Not true. The Ikelite TTL remote slave will allow you to use the DS-125 in manual mode as well. If your camera's built in flash uses pre-flash then you can only fire the strobe in 1/2, 1/4 and 1/8 power. If you can disable the pre-flash on your camera then you should be able to do a full dump.

I like this sensor because it gives me the option to use TTL and manual. I find that in general TTL works very well with my setup.

Best to check with Ikelite if the TTL Sensor is recommended for your camera. Ike recommends you use the manual remote sensor for the S40...
