I want to buy a housing for my Sony A1, has anyone tried the new Amphibico dive buddy evo HD SE l with the incorporated rear LCD viewfinder?.
I like the Dive buddy SE PRO as well but the cost is almost twice with the external viewfinder.
Can someone give me some advice?.
Thanks

I have an EVO(not SE) A friend of mine was just looking at that housing. One thing Amphibico mentioned was that you can only use the standard battery with the monitor back installed - the NP-QM71D is too long.
Is the rear monitor HD? It's not clear from their description.
It seems that you can add the Assign button control for $200 now also.
With the colder waters I dive in the standard battery would only last for minutes. I guess its for all the warm water babies then..
Be nice to know if the monitor back is HD and can fit on the Evo pro..

If it was a HD monitor they'd be shouting about it saying how wonderful it was, i doubt very much it is a HD monitor. So far i think gates are the only ones too supply HD monitors U/W.
Dean, you mean you can go diving in cold water?? How odd!!
Thanks for the help, I'm going for the SE PRO.
A friend just told me Amphibico is building an external HD 16:9 monitor. I hope my wallet will be recovered by then!.
This housing replaces the EVO PRO for the A1.
If you have the A1 you can have the assign button to White Balance.
Rear LCD so no tiny viewfinder, might have abit of sun glare in shallow water?
The new 16.9 external screen will be out in about 4 weeks.
The new wide angle for all these bayonet housings should be out in June/July.
