Pls, some one help to ID this one. Took picture at Anilao,Philippine this week.
Sam
I think we need Marli for this one. My first guess is Pleurobranchus but I'm not sure at all.

Well.............
If it's a pleurobranch, I can't find one that matches, though there are some with lumps and bumps. I'm going on out a limb here, and, as I can't see any oral tentacles (not that you always do), and that in the second photo, the "rhinophores" seem to be rolled parts of the margin, (though I wish I could see a better view), I think that it might be a flatworm...over to you Leslie.
Cheers,
Marli

Hmmmm.....
I was going with branch because the "rhinophores" look as if they are lamellate or papillate in the first image. You're right, in the the second they do look more like the rolled margins found in some polyclads. If it is a flatworm then it's Acanthozoon or Thysanozoon. The two genera are distinguished by internal details. Looking through the Newman & Cannon book "Marine Flatworms: The World of Polyclads" I found "Acanthozoon or Thysanozoon sp 3" from Batangas, Philippines which is similar. I bet that species is only known from a photograph as well; if the authors had a specimen they would have been able to narrow down the genus.

Thanks for the info.
Anilao is a part of Batangas,Philippines & this flatworm was moving faster than nudibranch.
