Here is something I found interesting.
Sucked in some HDV and converted to the Canopus HQ codec on the fly but cranked it up to 100 max as it came in.
The result was the 25 second clip came in at over 300 megs ![]()
It played in wmp and then it played back in the HDV and DV timeline no probs even with a DV pip ontop. Colour Correction was also real time.
So I guess that means that it's an option to edit in much lower compression rates if needed, but one would need lots of storage space as it will be around 1.2GIGs per minute. ![]()
