Canon Follows Olympus Lead

  1. Live preview .... Olympus

    Supersonic chip cleaning ... Olympus

Two memory cards at same time ... Olympus

However, here is one place where Canon leads:

    Canon $4,000 Olympus E-330 $600

(although I have to admit that if I had a spare $4,000 lying around and could write it off ;-))

  2. Interesting observations, but i would say Canon has the lead in the most important part of the camera too: the sensor. And not all EOS sensors come in a package that i can buy several used cars from....

  3. There's no question Canon's sensor is superior. One other item of note on the Canon is the new G7 will bomb. The G6 is a superior camera. I also couldn't help but notice how much Nikon's new Coolpix 5000 looks like the SP-350. I'm kind of curious as to how Olympus's new point and shoots with ISO 5000 handle the noise factor. As an owner of the E500 I was a little disappointed how that DSLR handled the noise at higher ISOs.
