  1. Alot of people can't believe these were taken from the Swan, in fact alot of people think the Swan is polluted because it has brown looking water - but thats because its has a muddy bottom and the tanins from the paper bark trees stain the water. But the Swan is far from polluted as these photos will show you.

here are some samples of what the Swan has to offer.

Can you add some words about the Swan? What is it? Where?

  4. yes sorry I should have given some more details. The Swan River is basically the main waterway that runs adjacent to the capitol city of Perth in the state of Western Australia. It is very popular playground for fishing, skiing, jet skis, paragliding and of course scuba diving (mainly at night)

It is one of the cleanest and vibrant river systems in the world playing host to many marine creatures. Depths for diving range from 9 - 23 meters.

It got it's name from the many Black Swans that inhabit the river.

  5. Great Pics...just not sure about that cold water ;)

We got some great Sea Horse footage for a german TV doco a few years back in the Swan River. It was a story based around a guy the worked at AQWA, (Underwater World) We dived the tank a heap of times and other places including Albany shooting some Weedy Sea Dragons.

    But it was so cold....
