Todd, nice job. You did well with the Sand Diver. They always seem to spring about the time you press the button. You got some really nice color on your trip. I was in Roatan in '99 one year after Mitch. There was extensive damage to many of the dive sites. How would you rate it now? I've always said I would like to go back, probably on the Aggressor.
-
I found the sites we frequented were quite nice. Good growth on the walls. Not a lot of big stuff to see on the dives but lots of seahorses. We did see the agressor in port and I was a little amazed. I really thought it would look more upscale. They were painting it, maybe they are working on that.

Unfortunately, it's notoriously one of their older and least desirable boats. I have heard good and bad commentary mostly revolving around the boat itself. Nice to hear the reefs are doing well.
-
Myself, I still have a "fire in the hole" if you know what I mean.
-
Some cracking shots there Todd. I have a bit of soft spot for morays and those are nice although the seahorse shots too are good. Particularly impressed with clarity of them all.

Funny thing, I knew that when I was taking them. I thought Mark would wish he was here. Everyday I could find my little golden tail at about noon on the reef out front of the resort. One day he was there with a little friend. You think I could get a shot with both of them in focus...NO.
I'll find it to email to you. It actually pissed me off as I love the shots with two eels in one shot. Very, very possible with wolf eels as they do den together.
-
If theres one thing that excites me about PH more than anything its seeing these wolf eels. I have never seen one before in my life. They have an 'english bull terrier' beauty about them. They sound like terrific subjects for the camera too......Roll on August!!

Depending on Debs aversion, I do know some will actually wrap around peoples shoulders and neck if coaxed the right way. I think that would make a great shot if you can get the right angles etc.
Some will just follow you around while you are in there area. Like the neighbourhood dog.
-
Oh believe me Debs would be up for that!! As long as its all naturally done of course - non man handling!!
-
OK that's just too easy to respond to there. Trust me on some dives you will wish they would let you go about your business. Probably too much prior man handling.
-
Nice.
Did you dive the Sewing Machine dive?
-
I do not recall having done that dive. What is it like, or what is the main feature? It sounds interesting.
-
I think your being stitched up Todd

Nice.
Did you dive the Sewing Machine dive?
The bouy is anchored with an old sewing machine that is sitting in the coral on the bottom....I have a picture somewhere...
