  1. I am looking for an inexpensive first strobe setup and found the Fantasea Double Nano. Anyone have experience with Fantasea or have an opinion on this particular setup?

I use a single nanoflash, with a fantasea tray and arm. I didn't find the focus light very strong, so I use a UK light cannon in my other hand to help with focusing. (I use my camera one-handed no problem). you can't go wrong for the money, its very light and inexpensive. will last for at least 2 dives, I use duracell AAA rechargables (it takes 2). works as a slave with all point and shoots, you don't even need a fiber optic cable. great for macro, and fish portraits, not strong enough for further away stuff. I also like the arm alot.

obviously inon, Sea-n-sea, ikelite strobes are much better, but also cost more. the kelvin temp of those strobes is better also.

with my first nanoflash, the housing leaked and the strobe eventually stopped working (they are tough, and will survive a few leaks), and fantasea replaced the strobe & strobe housing. this one gets a couple drops of water in it every so often, but it doesn't seem to affect the strobe at all. I have over 100 dives with it.

    hope this helps,
