Yep I use one on my S&S custom port. You have to get a port cover, cut a hole into it exactly the size of the hole in the woody diopter. You take out the glass diopter with hard plastic part from the flexible attachment. Trace the exact size hole in the S&S port cover, cut it out with a razor/box cutter, then insert the diopter into the modified S&S port cover. A perfect fit.

I have had mine for almost 4 years. I made a little modification for the custom port rest, and put on a rubber band to hold it into place.

Good luck with the diopter. :)

  3. The Sea & Sea Compact Flat Ports use CL-90 without modification.

  4. Stew, CL-90 for the compact macro port. I made the mistake of getting the CL-100 which is too big

Well then all you need to do is pop out the diopter from woody's plastic part, use the open hole to trace the hole on the S&S port cover, cut the hole, and pop in the diopter. All done.

  6. thanks docrobina... didn't realize until now that the skirt is removeable on the nexus diopter.

You are very welcome. Just be careful cutting out the hole in the skirt. Actually must give credit to Woody himself for the instructions on modifying the diopter to fit my S&S port.

    Happy shooting! :)

  8. i have been in contact with woody and he has shipped me a diopter. the only problem is i am sure he recommended the 100mm. could someone who has made the modification post a couple of pictures for me to view. many thanks, stew smith

If you have the S&S compact macro port, the 100mm is too big. Trust me, I have the 100mm and the same ports as you. By itself, it will be too loose on the end of the port. Ryan was kind of enough to send me the 90mm skirt.

If you're stuck with the 100mm one and don't have time before your trip for a replacement, a little DIY will make it fit. Try to wrap some single sided foam tape around the end of the port. Maybe cover that with duct/gaffer tape just to make sure it stays on underwater.

Or do as docrabina suggested earlier about using a port cover.
