Right now I have a housed FL20 flash and like the ttl. About a year ago I purchased a Sunpak G-flash and here's my issues.
1. There was no easy way to trigger the Sunpak.
A. If I don't use a sync cord it doesn't fire reliably.
B. If I use a sync cord I have to jerry-rig the cable to the flash diffuser. (The FL20 comes out pretty hot
straight and if I don't use the diffuser it'll leave harsh shadows). This home rig is great when it
works but when it doesnt, I'm stuck using 1 flash underwater.
I'd like something that's a little more robust. I've been eyeing an Inon D180 but don't know how that will work with the housed FL20. ..ie will the flash cancelling circuit of the D180 cause the FL20 not to work? While I like the TTL of the FL20 I'm really tempted to get rid of both units and start over. Any suggestions about rigs that work well with Oly point and shoots would be greatly appreciated.
