I'm a little late getting these posted but here are some photos from a couple of weekends ago. The aerial ones are from Jim Abernethy's "flying boat" -- an ultralight on a rigid inflatable boat. Definitely a rush!

Awesome pics! Is that Peanut Island from the air? I used to work as a DM for a few shops back in 1998 and pass the island everyday by boat. Brings back some nice memories, thanks. Look at all the sharks, is that to the north of the inlet?

Doug:
Don't be too complimentary. I just ordered your Underwater Photoshop DVD! ![]()
The shots are the Singer Island, the inlet looking back at Peanut Island, and the sharks are from south of there. The shots at dawn are from the marina where Jim took off with my wife looking eastward to Singer Island. Jim, Brian Cripe, and Jeffrey Phillips got some incredible images as well. Check them out at Jim Abernethy's Scuba Adventures (www.scuba-adventures.com) under Captain's Blog. The link to photos is at the bottom.
Great shots; when I see these, it really makes me remember how lucky we Floridians are to have such great stuff in our backyard.
Jim has me seriously thinking of buying one of those ultralights.

Is this a photoshop tutorial geared toward underwater photos...how much and where do I go to buy it.
hee hee! that's too funny Doug! I don't get to sit and write too much in the forums but I do look and saw the pics and just started laughing to myself about my days working down there. West Palm Beach is awesome diving, and I am hoping to get back there this summer. I had a job at Sea Pro in Riviera Beach and also worked for Jay Mauney at Coral Island Charters. I used to hang out a bunch with the guys who worked for Jim, he is a great guy.
Peanut Island is fun. We had a small sailboat (lived on the water right by the PGA bridge on the Intracostal) and would always take it out and spend the night there. Good times. Love the mitzpah wreck, but have never seen all the sharks like that in the water. Thanks for the link... and the disc ![]()
great shots. lots of good info in the video.
