For most folks it's reall hard to comprehend just how savage a bike can accelerate but just watch this clip.
First gear he gets 80mph/130kmph then..........240mph or 350kmph.
Or was it a fake?

That speedometer is showing what? 230 km/h? 140 mph? I think the white lines in the road would be going by much faster. You can still see individual lines. Also the trees go by too slow. Looks like maybe 50 mph.
Yes the lines and side road do go by abit slow for that speed...I'll see if there is another one like it.
The LCD readout between the dials goes up by 2 which i guess is the odometer. and the clip lasts about a minute including the messing about to start with so it might be true - speed, distance time and all that
i think it is real.
like scuba_si said, the odometer is the key here. plus stock 'busas come from factory topping out at 200ish MPH right? 40mph boost from a real good turbo is credible.
clip that i found : http://www.topspeed.com/motorcycles/motorc...300-ar1857.html
here is another fun one - Yam R1 vs Bugatti Veyron. A Porsche Carrera GT catches up with them both when they hit the bends ![]()
man, that Veyron flies - but I suppose it should at just short of 1.5 million dollars!
steve
What I find funny is that a $20,000 AUS stock standard bike with keep up with a 1.5 million dollar car to about 200mph....then turbo the bike with a few other cheap options and you will keep up with the 1.5 million dollar car and maybe out accelrate it. ![]()
Great clips there guys.
Here is another Hayabusa with a turbo on it. ![]()
At the end of the clip the camera bike was doing over 290kmph and the guy on the turbo Hayabusa whizzes past him on his back wheel. ![]()

Wags.....
Wishing to quote the great one here:
I don't know how long that guy has been doing that for but it's only a matter of time before his luck runs out.
A wild animal is just that and no amount of skill & time can predict what something that big will do.
At least they will capture it all on video if it ever happens
(from the snorkelling with Great Whites thread)

i remember topping out my 2002 yamaha r6 @ 125mph, even tucked in the wind was pulling my helmet up!!!!
i cannot fathom going 240mph....that is just INSANE.
