  1. Hi Guys,

I am interested in trying out the Inon Optical Convertor D and was wondering if anyone knew whether it was able to fire the S&S YS27DX strobe??

The Inon convertor is compatible with my Nexus housed D70S and it converts the cameras electrical signal into language that the Inon D2000, and its siblings, can understand. These signals are converted and then carried via fibre optic cable to the strobe. I am assuming that the convertor simply gets the message and fires a beam into the fibre optics which then passes to the strobe???

I am hoping that it is this simple and thus be able to fire the slave only YS27DX ??

Can anyone help me out as to whether this will work??

    Thanks for taking the time,

    Bruce

  2. Bruce,

I am interested to know why you would want to do this ?

  3. Hey Pete,

The S&S ys27dx is a nice compact little strobe and I was considering it for a twin macro unit.

It features 9 manual settings for custom lighting, and with it's size, will fit in really close places...

Only trouble is that it is fibre-optically triggered and I need some bright, flashy, thingie on my

Nexus housed D70S to fire it?

    Any other options/ideas?

    Bruce
