Hi,
I'm considering buying the Ikelite housing for an Oly e330. I was wondering if the housing comes with a port, or if I have to buy the housing and then a port on top of that?
Where is the best place to buy the housing?
Thanks,
Darryl

No unfortunately not. Ports are very specific to the lens being used. So while there are a few lenses that most UW photographers use it doesn't make sense to include a port because shooting needs are very different.
The main thing I would suggest is to think hard about what lenses you plan to use before selecting the port. I (and I suppose many others new to UW photography) thought I would use the kit lens with my D70. I bought the port but never took it UW. There are many other lenses that are better suited to UW photography than mid-range zooms.
Popular UW lenses are either "macro" lenses or wide angle lenses. Macro lenses are used mainly to get portrait type shots of critters from frying pan size on down and color/pattern type shots of small stuff. Larger critters from turtles to reef-scapes and wrecks are best with a wide angle lens. Macro is generally considered to be the easiest. I would recommend a mid-range macro like maybe a 50mm (or even shorter with the oly 2x sensor--does that exist?). This should give you good fish portraits, be easy to focus, relatively inexpensive and versitile. A good first lens. Then I would recommend a good WA zoom. I think there is a 7-14mm or something for the oly. Look on the ikelite website for the recommended ports.
I would buy my gear from Ryan Canon at Reef Photo & Video--see ad on the right. He has always provided top-notch information and lately his prices are as low as the big photo stores like B&H. Almost none lives near a good UW photo store so buying online is par for the course.
Good Luck!

Ports are extra - some of the places listed on the right in the banners are good places to shop (the stores) backscatter, marine camera, underwater phototech, reef photo.
I know I have bought things from almost all of them over the years and they are good places/people.
Other places also sell the equipment if you search on the web (B&H and Helix are two that pop into my head that I have also purchased from)
