  1. Anyone know the answer to the following Photoshop questions?

    1. How to set the default view percentage to 100% instead of always having to highlight and change the number in the lower left hand corner manually?

    2. How to change the default unit of measurement to “percent†instead of “inches†in the Document Size section of the Image Size dialog box?

    3. How to select the location to save a file in the Save As dialog box, using the drop down menu, without using your mouse?

    4. Is there a keyboard shortcut to rotate 90 degrees right?

    1. Don't know, but it's a great question, I'll ask my photoshop gnome and get back with you.

I'm sure you can modify the load action to do it, but I've always just loaded an image and hit Control plus the plus symbol 3 times.

    2. Under Edit/Preferences/Units & Measure

    3. On the PC, you can use Tab and Arrow Keys to navigate the dialog, no idea with the mac.

    4. By Default there isn't one, but under Window/Workspace/Keyboard Shortcuts & Menus, you can define your own pretty easily.

    Hope this helps,

    Joel

  3. Thanks Joel,

I discovered that double clicking the zoom tool changes default view percentage to 100% - works for now in lieu of somehow changing default.

Changing Units and Measure to Percentage in Preferences does not appear to change it in the Image Dialog Box Document Size Section.

    Tab and Arrows - OK

Defining my own shortcut works great.

    Thanks,

    Jeff

Not sure about default, but a quicker way to do this is click the Magnifying Glass, then click 'Actual Pixels' on the ribbon bar (below File|Edit|Image|Layer|etc).

  5. Yes thanks, double clicking zoom tool (magnifying glass) does the same

Also on Mac (cannot remember keyboard on PC, will have to go back) press Apple (maybe Alt Key on PC) and + keys zooms in (- key is out) so can get to 100% and smaller very quickly - with larger photos I use this all the time and very quick
