I had the privilege of spending a few weeks diving in Galapagos last September. Life has been crazy since then and just now I am finally getting a chance to post some of the pictures from the trip. It was without a doubt an amazing trip. Unfortunately I had the misfortune of a flood early during the trip (first time in 4 years) which ruined my housing's ability to fire off my strobes. I had purchased some magic filters to try for the first time and that's how I finished shooting for the rest of the trip. Except for the macro shots, all the shots below were done using a Sigma 10-20mm lens with the magic filter at various depths - the whale shark was shot right around 90 feet.
Great photos! I really like the Rays and seal. I'd say the loss of the strobes was no great loss and you got to exercise some different skills as a result.

Thanks! I was a great experience indeed.
The seal shot is great...I guess none of us need strobes
are all of those shots magic?

No, the macro shots, and I think the eagle rays shot, were with a strobe. The WA shots were all with Magic Filter only.
I agree. The magic filter really saved the trip. I have some, but haven't had a chance to try them out. You have given me an incentive to do so.
The seal shot came out nice. Did that take much playing with? Did you try to warm up any other shots?

I have not play much with them no. I did some auto level adjustments on Aperture, but that's about it. I shot everything RAW, so I can go back and adjust WB, etc, just haven't had the chance yet.
