  1. Looks like Seatool has pics of their new Sony HC-7 housing on their Japanese webpage.

some of the main features (if my Japanese reading isn't too off)

    manual focus

WB (I presume not "manual WB" but the WB shift through the programmable dial)

    Iris control

    ext. mic

    leak sensor

    internal filter

M67 threaded for Inon AD mount lenses

hotshoe fiber optic connector to ext. strobe (for taking photos)

  2. Thought I'd post some picks of the new Seatool HC7 housing that Jenji Ohmura had on display at the Bangkok ADEX show last weekend.

  3. I had never heard of Seatool until a couple of weeks ago. Are their housings any good? Strengths and weaknesses?

Call Mike @H2O Photo Pros, he's their west coast dealer. Also they have a US website

Personally the buttons look a little close together for my fat fingers.

  5. Not sure you can trust a dealer to tell the truth, after all, they have to sell the product. Does anyone here actually use one of them?

One of the things I really admire about Michael is that he spends as much time in the water with the gear as any dealer out there, and isn't afraid to honestly tell you what he thinks. He also supports more video lines than any other retailer I know of, so he'll be able to honestly steer a customer into the right housing for them based on his experience. To clarify my point, I think you can trust a retailer who carries lots of lines and has time in the water with them all. I'd be wary of the exclusive guy...

No one in the USA has used a Seatool HC7 yet, the first shipment will be in dealer's hands this week, and to customers soon after.
