On my recent trip aboard Solmar V to Socorro, we ran into a big pod of bottlenose dolphins about 20 hours into our crossing to San Benedicto (which you can see in the distance of this video). The pod stayed with us for about half an hour, easily swimming with the boat at full speed. If you love the "enthusiasm" of dolphins, you might like the first 25 seconds or so of this 35-second video I shot with my little point & shoot Lumix camera and put on Youtube, despite the admittedly crappy quality of the video:
