Olympus Stylus 600 / mju 600

  1. Hello,

my wife uses an Olympus Stylus600/mju600 camera in a Olympus housing with YS120 and a Heinrichs TTL-converter. Everything fine, except one thing:

The camera has two macro modes, standard and "super macro". With super macro you can get much closer (something like 10-15cm / 5 inches), however: With this setting the internal strobe of the camera is de-activated - the lens would shade the subject, I suppose. But for underwater with my setup I need the internal strobe only to trigger the YS120, so shading is not a problem.

There is no way to activate the strobe in the camera's menu. Does anyone know how to modify the camera firmware or knows of a forum where such topcs are discussed?

    Greetings,

    Joerg
