Trying to play around with software to present photos in a different way. I had a wonderful encounter with a hungry hairy frogfish recently, and put together a short story to share the experience.
Nice one Tony.... That is hilarious! I love the potbelly!
That's great. Would make a great children's book.
Alex
i hate my internet connection
Yeah, I actually had kids in mind while putting it together.
Have another one I can put together if I get the time. Involves an octopus, a broken bottle, my camera and breakfast (instead of lunch).
The critters have really interesting personalities sometimes...
Cheers,
Tony
Great set of pictures as always, Mr Tony... i enjoyed it
Very nicely done. Bummer for the pipefish though...
Clinton
I really enjoyed it too Tony. I sent a link to Scott Michael who loves frogfish.
Cheers

Hi Tony,
It was great meeting you at the Kasawari resort a couple of weeks ago. I posted a few of my pics from the trip in the 'Olympus SP350' thread.
Hope all is well with you!
Peter
Well done, I really enjoyed the story and images.
I really think that several of these would make a great children's book. Or several smaller books.
Alex
Hi Alex,
Are you volunteering?
I had the same reaction from a few graphic designers who've seen the slideshow/ video clip. I'll do my best to get a few more sequences in upcoming trips. Will need at least 3 more or so to make a decent series. I've got at least one more from this trip that'll be really cute.
Maybe you can do something interesting with an oceanic white tip shark in July?
Cheers,
Tony
never mind sharks, you need mantas
still wish i could watch, but.... power too crap to leave it downloading overnight... bugger
Hi Mike,
Can you download via iTunes?
Cheers,
Tony
Tony,
I've been remiss at acknowledging and replying to all the wonderful photo, etc posts on this forum.
So I'm bringing this post back up to the top to say how much I enjoyed it!!!!!!! Fantastic!!!! I found myself watching it several times... B)
Thanks so much for taking the time to put it together and share,
All the best, Carol
love the hairy frogfish podcast. My nephews loaded it onto the video ipod and was showing them to their classmates. great way to teach children the beauty of the underwater world!

That's great! Exactly what I was striving for. A lot of my friends' kids have done the same. Gotta keep up with technology to keep pace with the kids!
Cheers,
Tony

Hi Tony
Actually what got my Pokemon addict nephews (age 7 and 10) really into diving photos was one of your photos on your flickr page - a pikachu nudi some months ago. Now they spend all their free time looking at fish/nudi photos and can identify many species. The two questions that were constantly asked was where could they can find more like your short film and the second is of course when they can start diving and see the real thing for themselves. Hope you do another soon!
Jing
Hi Jing,
I use that "pikachu" name to catch a lot of kids' attention. Works like a charm if they're pokemon fans. It works on many adults too, who are pokemon fans
I hope your nephews stay interested in marine life. I was just a bit younger than them when I became hooked. A crab in shallow water pinched my toe and wouldn't let go.
Cheers,
Tony
That's brilliant, I'll have to try that with my two nephews who are Pokemon/ video game zombies... see if that'll get them to put down their gameboys/nintendo's/ etc...
Maybe along these lines, someone could come up with online pokemon style cards with various nudi's and fish that kids could collect and trade...
