  1. Hi All,

Now leaving Palau to get ready for the new job so as of now I have put my HDV Rig up for sale along with all accessories. This is a one off chance to get everything you ever needed, and more, in one foul swoop. All of the accessories are the best available for this system. As always I have taken incredible care of the material and its flawless.

    Equipment consists of:

    Camera / Housing / Accessories:

    Sony HVR-Z1U 3CCD HDV CamCorder

Gates Z1 dedicated housing with the additional Shutter Speed/WB set/ Gain functions

2 x Buoyancy units for the housing as well as the complete set of trim weights.

    2 x Adjustable Hand Grips

1 x Standard Foot rest for use with SWP44 - slightly modified

    2 x Sony AC-VQ800 Charging Units

    PRICE: U.S $18,000.00

For the attractive items such as the SWP44 and the other W/A lenses and Achromatic diopters I would be ready to split. For the camera / housing / ext. monitor / lights and other housing accessories I would prefer to keep as one.

All of the equipment is in flawless condition and is 100% ready to go. The lighting rig is only six months old!! Buyer pays for shipping and handling.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

    Steve,

Emailed you for the tripod appraisal.

For the lights. They would be available after my summer Opus filming sesh in Lembeh. Booked for the whole month of June and am ooking to then go on to Bali for Molas. Should be a blast. Anyway, the lights would be available after this trip with a tag of $3,500 the lot. Thats two Green Force Squid 250 Light Heads, Two Flexi III battery cannisters and two chargers. I've adapted the battery cannisters with additional clips for easy portability.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

  8. I forgot to put a price for this lot......DUHHHHH!

$18,000 (see below), you pay the shipping. I will be taking this all back to the UK with me in about a week so figure transport costs from the UK. All of the equipment is in full working order and in pristine condition.

The 4" external monitor needs a replacement AV cable / Pig tail as I broke the end of the Pigtail in the bulkhead connector. John at Gates quoted me $73 if memory serves me correct, for the replacement. I'll be going to the U.S in October so can transport the monitor for shipping direct to Gates from there if the potential buyer is Europe based.

The SWP44 would also probably be due for a re-coating of non reflective whatever it is. As I understand it that costs $700. Same arrangement as above for European buyer.

The Kit comes packed in two Pelican Cases:

    1 x 1600

    1 x 1650

    ! PRICE IS NEGOTIABLE !

    Cheers,

    Mark.

    :)

EDIT: I edited the bold text at the base of the thread to avoid 'FanBoy' hecklers like the one below ??? hehehehe

  10. Wow you have a big list of stuff there Mark.

Must be abit strange leaving it all behind as well.

  11. Anyone have 18k I can borrow? Mark, if you want, I can bring the monitor over to John at Gates for you. He is only about 6 miles from here.

    Steve B)

  12. Wagsy - I hear ya. I used to get 'attached' to my cameras (normally due to some sick fantasy and a tube of Crazy Glue........ :) ) These days it's just equipment. Use it for a year, sell it before it depreciates too much and move on. Interestingly enough though it gets harder and harder to sell 2nd hand equipment these days. Is that due to sliding economies, less disposable income or just a desire to have the latest and greatest equipment? Who knows........

Steve - I've heard DeanB does -12%APR unsecured camera loans, that is he actually pays you to borrow money from him....! I warned him about that business model but he never listened.

I'll be bringing the monitor with me to DC in October so will FEDEX it through direct to John then. I'll be in the country for around ten days so it should be sufficient time to get it all turned around.

    Thanks for the offer mate.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

  13. Mark

Just on the phone chatting to Leighton from AUS, do you know him, he was over your way shooting stuff.

  14. Doesn't ring a bell. Last guy I dived with from Australia was a photographer based out of Melbourne.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

  15. Fair enough, he knew you and was impressed with your stuff.

He was over there shooting Survivor.....personally I can never watch rubbish like that.

  16. The whole Survivor group are starting to arrive now in Palau, there's been a slow stream of crew arrivals over the past week / ten days. Some people may have been here on a Recce but the main shooting hasn't started yet, or at least not that I'm aware of.

    Glad he liked my stuff.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

  17. Price Dropped to:

    $16k

    Buyer takes all.
