Aquatica macroport and Tokina?

5 posts
  1. I'm looking to get a Tokina 100mm 2,8 for my Canon 20d in Aquatica A20 housing. Will this lens fit in the standard macro port with one extension ring or is it too long? cant seem to find any measurements and i'm in a rather remote location for a long time. All help appriciated!

  2. Get me the overall lenght of the lens from the bayonnet to the front and I will figure out which extension you need.

See the attached lens template, fill ou the part in the canon section and return it to jean@aquatica.ca and i'll see if we have a gear that fit.

Thanks but like I said, im in a remote location and will not order lens or port until I know that it will fit, so dont have access to that information.

  4. The answer is yes it will fit, but I need the lenght of the lens to tell you which of our many extension will be right, we have extensions to fit lens all the way up to the 200mm Micro from Nikon.

In the case of odd lenses such as this one we ask that the customer supply us with the info, we will be happy to set you up with the proper extension but we do not have the lens nor do we have any plan of getting one.

As for manual focusing, hopefully the lens diameter will be the same as some existing lens, otherwise it will be a strickly autofocus set-up.

Just out of curiosity. why the Tokina and not the venerable and reliable Canon ?

Yeah you are probably right... the hassle of getting the lenght of that lens will outweigh the pricedifference to the canon...
