Olympus 5060 + Ikelite 100A

  1. I'm trying to sell my old strobe and potential buyer wants to use it with Olympus 5060 in Olympus housing.

Is it possible to make that work? I don't want to mislead him.

  2. I think if he/she sets the camera's flash mode to Slave it can be made to work.

The 100a has a slave sensor on the front right? But not on the side? I bet they can rig us something using a fiber and diffuser to make it work.

Power will be either full or 1/2

    Cheers

    James

  3. the 100a (and ai/n) have no slave sensor built in. IF the camera can disable the pre-flash (manual flash power).. you can use an older (orange) TTL sensor to trigger the strobe (on either full, or half, not ttl)

fwiw, thats what I do with my canon a640, and 2-3 ss200's

    gratuitous cave photo below
