  3. Hi Dean,

most of the freshwater shots with fishes were taken in Czech lakes and stone pitches.... The other places I dive in freshwater are in Austria. In Czech you can find few sites where you can see pikes, catfishes, zanders, etc. on allmost every dive. The biggest problem is the low visibility which rarely exceed 5-10m. Everage would be around 5m.... But we have here maybe five sites where the vis is good thru all the year.

  4. Cheers Petr,

Low viz...5M is good compared to here in the UK, you should try an average of 2M

  5. Cheers Dean,

5m is on few sites only. Mostly is about 1-3m.

  6. Hi Petr

Looks like you were there about the same time as I was. My liveaboard trip was 3/5/2007 to 10/3/2007.

Your shots are great. We did not manage to get close to the hamerheads, nor did we see any mantas. Your photo from the top of the Daedalus light shows just how crowded the sites were, everywhere we went there were 5 or more liveaboards.

I also missed the dugong at Abu Dabbab beach, although several of our group did find it.

    My pics are HERE

  8. Petr,

Yes, I too like your photographs!!

Red Sea are fine but I really liked your Fresh Water photos. I love places, fish and critters I've never seen underwater. Your Fresh Water Macros are wonderful, the "bubbles" are fantastic, are they under ice or is that just a photographic effect? Just stunning!!

    Thanks so much, Carol

  9. Hi Carol,

the bubles were frozen in the ice. The shots were taken when I was endging an ice dive and I saw the sun thru the cutted ice...

    Thank you for your comments.

    Petr
