How to power off Canon S80 underwater?

3 posts
  1. Hey there - I have a Canon S80 and the WP-DC1 case, but have lost the manual. Therefore, I don't know how to power-off the camera when it is in the case.

(I know about the "undocumented" feature to access the wheel controller - I recall there being something similar for power on/off)

Could someone with the manual dig it out, and see what the shortcut is for power-off? I am certain it exists, but forgot it.

    Thanks!

  2. on the s-70, if you press & hold the "func" button (top button on left side of screen) for 2-3 seconds, it will power off. I think this works on the s80 as well

Thanks, awesome, that did the trick! I had tried pressing the FUNC button, but not long enough. That + the print button shortcut makes the camera 100% functional in the case.
