I dive cold water and am looking at getting some thin gloves as my 5mm gloves are so thick, and make it hard to operate the camera knobs.
Someone told me that you could get thinner gloves with a higher heat rating.
Just wondering if anyone knows about this.
Thanks
Somehow I think your idea of "cold" may differ from mine, but here goes:
If you dive dry, try e.g. Nordic Blue drygloves with latex cuffs. These are pretty thin if you do not use anything under them. Personally, I use them with thin "fleecy" glows inside and they are still pretty good.
Might even work with a wetsuit, although equalising them migt be a bit of an issue. There's plenty of opinions in the 'net on equalising these, but I personally just leave the inner glove in between my wrist and the cuff seals.
