I posted this same question on digitaldiver and figured I'd give it a shot here as well. Canon just announced the SD 850 IS which is the replacement for my SD 700 IS (same body I believe). Canon is also releasing a housing under a different nomenclature (WP-DC15) I believe a SD 850 IS will fit in a WP-DC5 (SD 700 is housing)?? The size specs and photos of both cameras and housings look the same except for a trim piece which is only a different color. If it does fit it will be significantly cheaper to get a DC5 and a SD 850 IS as a backup before a Jan 08 Aggressor trip.
Any industry folks out there who have some inside 411??
