I like the picture, the diagonal angle and the deep blue creates interest.
I know the eel garden in Dahab, very beautiful and underestimate site.
At one time there were 19 eel gardens around Dahab, and 47 around the Na'ama Bay/Sharm el Sheikh area.
How many could you count today?
I don't know the number of EEl's garden at Dahab and Sharm. I come back in october and I'll check...
An other picture from Dahab

So true Bob.
I fear that now southern red sea has opened up with direct flights to Mars alam this almost unspoilt section of Egyptian coastline will be the next to be decimated.
The environmental problems are our (divers) own causing. Ironical is'nt it.
Having said that I am thinking of taking advantage of this new direct flight option as this part of the red sea is truly fantastic, and to think you can now drop out of a hotel room balcony into the blue!!!! Oh how two faced I am.

PS Is'nt the viz on that last pic awesome?
Pierre,
You pictures are beautiful ... simply amazing colour. I had a look at the one on your site .. WOW.
I heard about Marsa Alam again the last time I was in Egypt (February - Safaga). I think that I should be able to go there in April or May.
I knew about Marsa Alam before and the direct flight is truly a chance but like you say how long will it stay a good option.
I went twice to Safaga and once to Sharm El Sheikh. I don't think that I'll go again to Sharm ... not before a while. I'd like to see something 'different' if you get what I mean. It could be Marsa Alam or the Maldives. But I heard May isn't a good time for the Maldives ..
An other for for " Harmonie" and "mouvement"

What lens did you use for the ell shot. Thanks.
Sorry for the delay of answer
For the picture of EEl's Garden I used the 50mm Nikonos and RS. I was at 1,5m. I used this camera for the first time.
For the wide angle I have the Nikonos V with the 15mm Nikonos.
an other picture with the 50mm at short distance

An other picture realised at the same place of EEl's garden.
One shot with the 50mm and the fish disappeared.

Great shots. I've got a bunch of Anthias in my reef tank. Ever since I dove Taveuni in Fiji, they've been one of my favorite fish.
Not so many but,
