"upgrade" of SONY - HVLML20M VIDEO LIGHT ?

Hello all (1st post!),

I have a SONY - HVLML20M BATTERY VIDEO LIGHT and as the light produced is not really great I am looking if I can “upgrade†it…

Anyone know if and how I can replace the bulb with a HID bulb or one of the newest LED?

(the bulbd is a 20 W Halogen bulb)

Hi and welcome George.

It looks like it is 6v.

I don't think you can get 6 volt HID globes.

You also need to get the ballast in there to fire the HID globe.
