Just when you thought you had spent all your money

Mamiya Digital has announced its new 22 megapixel system with a retail price of $9,999. The ZD 645AFD II digital system consists of the Mamiya 645AFD II medium-format camera with 80mm f/2.8 AF lens and the Mamiya ZD 22 megapixel digital back. The venerable camera manufacturer says the comparatively low price of the system "marks a new era in the high-end digital market."

I wonder if it will fit in a Ewa Marine bag?

It is double FF size and 4:3. Isn't higher resolution than the 1Ds3 is expected to be. Probably isn't better at high ISO either. 14 bit converters and lenses that consider it "cropped". Probably a bit better at IQ that the 1Ds3 will be at base ISO but not nearly the choice of lenses for underwater.

Imagine trying to shoot 4:1 macro with a 400mm lens on this thing!!! That's no moon!

Wide angle would be a more feasable application but the housing would be ginormous.
