I finally had a chance to use my new Subal D200 setup over Memorial weekend and it is a significant departure from the L&M Titan. Much more cumbersome to use. But the good news is that we had lots of sunshine all three days. The diving was so so and there's nothing exciting to report, other than my serious dry suit leak at the zipper. I came up totally soaked after each day of diving. Damn thing worked last time I used it. I must have had too many beers whilel I filed off the green stuff that formed on the zipper. ![]()

Anyway here are a few pics from the trip. I spent two dives with a juvenile garibaldi and believe me when I tell you patience is a virtue. For 70 minutes I sat in about 15 feet of water in one spot and didn't move, waiting for it to pose. Found the nudi at 100 feet during a 7 a.m. dive and the lobsters were simply everywhere...I mean out during the day and on the reef tops just sight seeing. We had one major drysuit diver rip a seal and they were done diving halfway through day two of three days. I have to say that the boat crew was less than helpful for divers. Too many times I had to shout from the swim step to get someone's attention that a diver was there and needed camera assistance. Sometimes they just stared at you while you floated at the swim step staring back....in the meantime having to piss like a race horse while in your drysuit.
