Bali and Komodo Pics -- Kararu Voyager

  1. I see Herb beat me to the punch and already has his photos up. My wife, kids, and I (referred to as “the diving Ebersoles†by the crew) were also on the Kararu Voyager trip to Komodo. We were joined by Norbert Wu, Wetpixel’s fearless leader Eric, and fellow Wetpixelers Herb Ko, Cor Bosman, Julie Edwards, Andy Sallmon, David Patchen, and Kal Attie. It was a really great trip. Eric had a couple of issues which he can address, but our family had a wonderful time and our outside cabins avoided a lot of the noise problems that Cor and Julie had to deal with. I’m definitely the “underachiever†in the above group of photographers, but here are a few of my photos from the trip:

C'mon guys, where are everyone else's images?

  2. Nice gallery Doug. Glad to see you got to spend some time in Bali at the monkey forest.

We spent 5 nights in Tulamben. It was pretty cool.

    Mixed reviews on the boat?

  3. Great pics Doug! It was nice meeting you and your family. I wish I had been diving with my parents at that age ;)

Just to avoid confusion, we had some issues in our cabin (and so had others) that were imho avoidable if they had chosen to avoid them, but all considered, the voyager is a really wonderful boat. Im already looking at booking komodo again in 2008. Horseshoe bay is now officially my favorite macro diving area.
