Hi,
been lurking here for some time and picked up loads of useful info. Finally time to post, with what I'm sure is a pretty basic question for you guys. I have a USVH-housed Sony PDX 10P ("prosumer" 16:9 version of the TRV 950), and whilst it's great having 3 chips for colour rendition and electronic Lanc access to mwb, there is a well-documented "green vertical smear" problem with this camera. Underwater, the problem is most noticeable when I'm shallower than 15m or so and shooting upwards on a bright day. Topside, I've found that increasing the shutter speed from the default 50 to 120 makes the problem virtually disappear. However, as I can't change the shutter speed underwater, I'm worried about losing a whole dive's worth of footage on my forthcoming Maldives trip, if I get the shutter speed wrong and it just looks too dark and grainy at depth.
Would be really grateful for your thoughts.
Great site by the way!
Cheers.
Mat
