I had a great trip to Bonaire last week. Lots of critters. Crystal clear waters with white sand bottoms. Amazing shore diving opportunities. An excellent destination for photographers.
Here are a couple of teasers.

Yes John very nice! If I'm correct it looks like the chain morays are still hanging out at the Town Pier?? I took a couple of photos of them there last year, very dramatic place to take their pics! Ryan and I had an excellent guide (referred to us by Ellen Mueller) who showed us where they like to hang out. B)
Love your gallery John, and glad you loved the Town Pier. I dove it seven nights in a row last June, couldn't get enough of it -- one of the best dives in the world I thought with so much variety! And we never saw another diver under there because we went so late... Alas with all the cruise ships now diving there later on in the summer/fall gets pretty tough to get to dive it I hear, but at least the magical fish and critters down there get a chance for a lot of privacy!
Kriptrap why don't you have many chain morays there anymore? They are supposed to be common there, yes? Did they just move on to more private or better feeding spots? -- I've even been finding quite a few chain morays around Florida lately, they aren't very common here at all but we have been seeing them. Curious.
Thanks for the great pics!
Best, Carol
I agree with James, that moray negative space is very eye-catching. Makes the image POP as compared to the moray in a black crevice. I also like very much your topside shot of the coastline.
Great images.

The topside shot was with the Tokina 10-17 fisheye at 10 mm. Keeping the horizon dead center in the photo makes the fishiness hard to detect.
Hey John, great gallery awesome shots at the Town Pier. It was great meeting you during the week, and thanks again for dinner. Hopefully, be able to meet up and dive again in the future.
Tony
