Sony Battery Charger question

3 posts
  1. I'm looking at changing the batteries in my Amphibico Super Mini Pro Power Pack (model VL135) to Li-ion, but have not been able to determine if my Sony BC-1WD battery charger will work with the Li-ion batteries. I've been searching the net and have not found an answer, so I thought maybe somebody here might know, otherwise I'll have to figure out which phone number to try at Sony. I have not had any luck finding an email address for Sony, since their regular sony.com site just directs me to the Sony Business Solutions site for this charger, and I've not found any email support there.

    Thanks,

    Vic

  2. My suggestion is to call B & H or Berger Brothers in N.Y. and ask, somethere should know.

  3. I called Sony, and the gal I spoke to was reading the same manual I was, and could not find the information either (surprise), she yelled to someone else, and they said it would not work with the Li-ion. Don't know that I'm 100% sure of their answer, but rather than risk it I've purchased a charger that will handle the Li-ion and the Sony BC-1WD is up for sale on ebay.
