I just loaded up a 1 GIG HDV 60i NTSC m2t clip for Mary from www.divefilm.com who was very happy with the quality. It's going to be shown at the San Diego Film Festival on the big screen
Mary told me she then sent it through MPEG Streamclip to convert to QuickTime-based HDV (from the Sony proprietary transport wrapper of m2t), and laid it out in Final Cut Pro to an HDV 1080i60 sequence so she can print it out to tape
The thing is I made the file straight out of a HDV PAL 50i (Canopus HQ codec) timeline in one simple encode.
So I suppose if you are looking for a easy way to convert HDV 50i to 60i you can use EDIUS. ![]()
