Here's a link to images from my Cortez Bank trip:

Cortez Bank is probably not a primo UW photo destination. It's 11 hours from land. Only ones that will pay to go there are Surfers in the winter and Lobster divers during the season. In the winter it can have the largest waves in the world. Only bull kelp and everything is smoothed and worn down.
Very clear water. There are Sea Lions. Might be a good trip if you could get enough Photogs will to pay to get there. Very often can't make it due to the swell. Photogs would probably want nitrox as to shoot out of the swell you would probably need to stay below 60 ft. in the best of conditions.
Only thing in sight was the buoy marking Bishop's rock. I did not see it on this trip though I did see it on a trip years ago. There are walls near it with California hydrocoral if I remember correctly.
Still it was a great trip and you should not miss a chance to go there.
