Just wondering your thoughts on weather to buy ttl enabled strobes or to just go the manual route. Any owners of the DS strobes getting good consistent exposures? I am shooting with a 5d in an ikelite housing.
Any info would be appreciated.

I recommend you go with the DS strobes as this will give you the most flexibility. You can still use them in manual mode but if you choose to use iTTL (or is it eTTL on Canon?) if you want.
I was getting inconsistent exposure on my D70 when I was using a DS50 with a DS125 and only with a particular lens. Since I have gone to 2 x DS125, the consistency as improved dramtically, although I still have up to 5% overexposed images. I'm sure if I went manual, my failure rate would be higher - it was with my previous manual only rig.
