Great White Sharks

  1. I've just come back from a 5 day trip in South Australia with Rodney Fox. It was an extremely well run operation and we were blessed with sharks all day every day.

There are photos on Julian Cohen Photography. I would appreciate some constructive criticism.

    Here's a taster for you.

  2. That looks amazing! Must've been quite an experience...I don't know if I will ever have the courage to jump into the water w/ great whites...well, maybe :D

BTW, that must've been intense when the shark came up to the cage and opened its jaws like that...wow...

    Great photos!

  3. I remember wondering to myself as it was happening if I was scared or not. I actually wasn't and was just thinking "get the shot, GET THE SHOT !!"

About 5 seconds before the shot I was standing at that corner of the cage taking photos as the shark came up for the bait and then turned towards the cage. I stepped backwards with my finger on the shutter and this was the best of 3 shots.

It is something I have always wanted to do, and would do again in a heartbeat. Rodney Fox was on the boat for this trip and is a lovely lovely man and very committed to saving the sharks.

Spoken like a true photographer :D

  5. I have immense respect for Rodney. So many people would have had the opposite reaction if they had gone through what he did.

I loved him in "Blue Water, White Death". He made the others look like pussies.

One day, I'll head done there for one of his trips.

  6. Cool pics there.

Looks like it has a few missing teeth.
