YS-50 or YS-120 for a PnS question...

  1. OK, my head hurts - I probably don't know what string I am actually trying to search for to get the right google results.. so..

     

    I have a Pentax Optio S5i with housing, I want to add a strobe as the best way to improve my pics NOW. I'm getting myself a DSLR later, but for now, I want to buy a strobe that I can carry on to my next camera.

     

    Will a Sea & Sea YS-50 or YS-120 work with the "sync cable hooked to the camera flash and works as a slave" method? Whatever that method is called?
