OK, so I'm not really 'up there' when it comes to knowing about the newer range of cams out there. Just wondering if anyone here has a good take on the better camera options in the DVCamPro arena. I'm gonna start Googling but it may also be nice to discuss that here.
Cheers,
Mark.
Err your Z1 does DVCAM ya know.
The DSR450 is the last DVCAM I know about. The HVR-V1 also shoots DVCAM.
Also consider the DVCPRO50 on the HVX200, which is 4:2:2 SD.
Hi Drew,
Yeah I was aware of the Z1's ability to shoot DVCam. I guess I should have stated clearer that I'd like to get more information on DVCPro Format Cameras that perform using less compression that HDV. Seeing as it's not particularly for underwater usage it doesn't matter if its HDD / P2 or Tape. Must be good for EFP (Electronic Field Production) use. I'm not really enamored with HDV so am looking at other potential options for something thats in development at the mo.
