  1. Hiii

last time i was asking about swiching from YS-90 auto to Inon Z240 for wide angle pictures.

i was assuming that if i switch from YS-90 auto to Inon Z240 i will get a better coverage for my wide-angle picture.

However, it turns out it's not true...

    Now i have another question

please look at this picture below.

    tulambenwithfiseyety6.jpg

Shot with NIKON D50 at 2007-08-16

THis picture were taken using 2 Ys-90 auto and Nikon 10.5mm fisheye.

i noticed that the center of the image is not bright enough (The Flash cannot cover the center of the image).

Next time, what should i do to make my 2 YS-90 auto be able to cover the center of the image.

Should i add another strobe at the top of the camera in order to lid the center of the image (when i'm using Nikon 10.5mm) ? therefore i will use 3 strobes??

For Nikon 12-24mm i never had any problems like this one.

    Thx You in Advance

  2. Hi Andree,

Your strobes are on too long arms and aimed out too much for that subject/camera to subject distance/composition. It is more to do with flash positioning than strobe power. Fisheyes are tough to light. But you can get the results you want without buying anything.

Three strobes can be useful - but they are not a necessity. Position the strobes you have correctly and you save yourself a purchase.

Here are a couple of examples. This one is shot with the 10.5mm, a YS90 and YS30 (much less powerful than the YS90):

And this one is shot with the 10mm Tokina 10-17mm fisheye and just a single YS30 - a fisheye with just one little strobe:

Hope this helps and saves you some money.

  3. Hi Alex

Sorry for the late reply, i just got bck from Jakarta.

Thx u so much for the explanation!

I really dont know how to use 10.5 for underwater.

it's so hard to positioning the strobes

    >.<

i really need a lot of practice for UW-Wide Angle pic

    Once again

    thx you very much

i'll try it next time :P

    Andree

  4. It is the toughest lens to use underwater, but once mastered the most powerful. Nobody should expect to be on top of it after just a few dives using it. Keeping going and the shots you want will come.
