Hi Towboat,
I don't know if that exists. I know for a fact that Ikelite made a TTL slave sensor for the SS200, because I have one, but I don't know about a manual controller.
Cheers,

I am retiring my Nikonis and going digital and I want to use my Ikelite substrobe as a slave for the flash on the digital camera. When I called Ikelite they said I needed a 4100 but anything that would fill this function would be great. I hate to turn the ss200 into an expensive paper weight. Any suggestions.Hi Towboat,I don't know if that exists. I know for a fact that Ikelite made a TTL slave sensor for the SS200, because I have one, but I don't know about a manual controller.

Hi Pete,
I use the SS200's all the time w/ my digital camera. You don't need a slave sensor if you've got one of the digital cameras with a hot-shoe on top for connecting the flash to the camera via an Ikelite Sync cord.
What camera did you get?
Cheers

No hot shoe, just an inexpensive Canon SD 1000 with a housing. I had this ss200 sitting in the closet and thought I would give it a try. Ikelite will take my ss200 in trade for a ds 200 for $700 with out a battery but it is really more than I want to spend. I was just hoping an optical slave would do the trick and hoped to find a used one due to the fact that Ikelite is not making it for the ss 200 anymore.

I see,
It's kind of ironic that you can buy a compact camera with a hotshoe for less money that you can probably buy the slave sensor (4100) you need.
I think it's great that you've decided to try digital Pete, however you've selected a camera that is very hard to get good results with underwater. It's a completely "point and shoot" camera meaning you can't set the aperture and shutterspeed yourself.
I'd suggest you have a look on Ebay for a used Olympus 5050 + Ikelite housing.
Cheers
