D200 LCD cover

  1. I have a question for the users of the Sea&Sea DX-D200 housing. Do you take off the LCD monitor cover before mounting the camera in the housing? This is not mentioned in the user's guide and I'd prefer not to take it off unless I really have to. Thanks very much.

  2. I was pretty sure this was mentioned in the instructions that come with the housing.

You should definitely remove both the eyepiece hood and the screen cover before closing the housing. The main impact of leaving them on is that the controls on the housing back will not contact well with the controls on the camera.

The screen shouldn't get scratched in the housing so I wouldn't worry about it.

  3. Yes, remove the plastic cover.

  4. I have removed it the day I got my camera...feb, 2006...not a single scratch on the lcd yet. must be pretty hard plastic/glass there, don't worry.
