  1. Did anyone else stay up to see it?

I took some photos. It was really beautiful...

We got it here but the tripod was all packed up in the trailer to get any stills.

  5. Nice work Eric.

I was planning to get up for it, then our dog started having seizures and that rather dominated the remainder of the evening

  6. Had to work, and miss a night dive, but made time to shoot the eclipse....these are from the Honolulu, HI area and are my first attempts at AstroPhotography.

  7. Eric.

What lens was used for your shots and where were you located?

-Just curious because the orientation of the moon is different than mine.

    Laters.

  8. 600/f4L IS (borrowed) and 2x tele (for some of them). I'm in Oakland, CA. I can't guarantee that the tripod was level.

  9. ATJ.

Very cool sequence....it is also interesting to see the different tilts of the moon from three different locations.

  10. Very cool shots everyone! Now I wish I had stayed up to take a look...

  11. i was in Indonesia all set up ready to go and as it was at 6.30 pm a really nice time also, then we had the only cloud all week for about an hour and i saw nothing .Ha!

    thems the breaks,great photos guys,

    Jez

  12. Tis a bit late, but I just saw this thread and thought I'd contribute. Here in Bermuda, we were at the edge of the eclipse and were only slated to get totality for 10 or 15 mins before the moon set and the sun rose at dawn. Unfortunately the moon dissapeared behind the clouds just before totality!! So frustrating for getting up at 4am but oh well.... The paper still gave it a big front page spread, so i'm happy. The images were taken with my D200 and 300mm f/2.8 + 2x TC (bloody lens & 2 TCs cost as much as my whole UW rig - but it rocks!) Cheers,

    Chris
