Wide Angle Lens for Amphibico VX 2000 housing

  1. Greetings fellow Aquanauts!

I just started filming and I am thinking about getting a wide angle lens for my Sony VX 2000 in a Amphibico housing and now have a few questions.

-what are the odds finding a second hand one?

-what would you pay for it?

    -100 degrees or more?

-do you think it is worth it? Will it make a big difference? Please share your own experience...

Thank you for taking time with this

    Cheers

    Roger

Amphibico never released their promised SWA for the VH2000. They did give a few people their older SWA lens that worked with the VH1000. I believe from memory it's based on the thalacetor SWA lens. They were near $6k retail at the time.

Good luck finding something now. Another choice is to custom build a lens.

  3. If that lense was ever released it would have looked like this.

Gee, thats boarderline mean... What I heard was basically, "Ha! Ha! I have one (and probably the only one) and you don't".. But then again, I would probably have done the same thing.

  5. Does anyone know why they did not put them in to production ?
