Sipadan in October

I am considering Sipadan as a potential destination for my holiday in October.

In several sources in internet i read that the best season for diving in Borneo is between April and October.

Has anybody have personal experience in Sipadan during this time of the year? I would be interested to hear weather conditions, visibility in sea, abundance of fish etc.

Alternatively i am considering Thailand but the season there is starting in November

Friends of mine did a trip to Sipadan last October and had a great time.

I dived Sipadan/Mabul/Kapalai in January, supposedly the worst time of year. It was great!

The barracuda, bumpheads, divers and big sharks had disappeared, but the sunshine and turtles certainly hadn't.

I guess that there's something special all year round.
