Infolithium battery caps/covers...

  1. I know these are made, but I can't find them anywhere online. With the Amphibico light setup I now have, I'm going to be traveling with a pretty goodly stack (8) of Sony's NP-F570 and a few NP-F770 batteries (for the camcorder). I have, with a few purchases, had camera and camcorder batteries show up in the original camera/camcorder box with a snap-on plastic cap on them, covering the battery contacts.

I'd like to find these things for Sony's L-series Infolithiums. Any leads?

Barring finding those, do any of you have any swell BKMs for traveling with spare camcorder batteries? It's never been much of an issue for me in the past, as I'd have one on-camera and one spare in the bag. But I'm a little more concerned about having a raft of them together, moshing about.

  2. My low-tech solution:

4 batteries fit perfectly in a zip-loc sandwich bag. Fold over the remaining bag and stuff them into an accessory pocket in my roller bag. They don't move at all during transit...

  3. I always pack my batteries by themselves in a Pelican box. That way, the batteries are isolated. I also tape a couple of pictures of how the batteries are packed to the inside of the lid to help both myself and the TSA with repacking. I use bubble packing to make sure the batteries do not move around.
