I'm buying my first major housing setup for my Canon 20D & I am having trouble figuring out what will be more beneficial, a single strobe or dual strobe setup. I'm most likely going with Ikelite because it's compatible with the housing & seems good. (Was mostly considering the Ikelite DS-125) I've been involved in a project shooting models underwater & I absolutely love it. Creatively the shots tend to vary, though I am thinking that the dual strobes would be better for wide angle shooting. In the future I'll likely do aquatic life/macro as well, so i don't want to be limited. I feel like a single rig could make for less balance & ease underwater, plus possibly less creative options. Though maybe I just want more than I need & I'm making excuses...
Anyone have opinions on using one verse two lights?
I haven't used any decent lighting yet, so I need any advice available!
Thanks, stephanie

Yeap, you are totally right about it.. It´s a no brainer, dual is the way to go. In macro you´ll avoid harsh shadows by filling both angles of the subject, and in WA you´ll get a wider and more even cover of light.
if you are shooting models, go dual without a doubt. no question.
shooting models is all about smooth & creative lighting and dual diffused strobes pointed slightly outward produces rich even lighting that can fill a full fisheye. this avoids the potential hotspots with superwides & fisheyes. also as mentioned filling harsh shadows for macro is pretty key.
A second strobe used as a slave can take advantage of side & back lighting if you wanna get creative.
go for two. you know you want to.
Two. You can get good lighting with one strobe but two you have a lot more lighting options available. You can always turn one off if you need to and you will have a backup strobe.
