  1. Is everyone happy with their wide angle zoom lenses? I did a series of tests with my Tokina10-17 and Nikon 12-24 lenses. There was, what I call, a lot of ca towards the edges both below and above the water.

My subject was a shower curtain with bold solid colours and high contrast. I admit, not exactly the conditions one might encounter underwater. Am I being too fussy?

The images are crops at 100% of small sections near the edge of each frame.

    Cheers

I don't really worry too much about CA, as it is really easy to fix in postprocessing. What does annoy me is corner softness. In this regard the Tokina 10-17 seems to really beat rectilinear WA lenses, zooms at least.

CS3 RAW converter has a fabulous one-hit button that takes care of a lot of it.

  4. Thanks guys, yet to get CS, fairly new at this.
